E-step meeting in Portugal – thoughts on teamworking

Just arrived back from the E-step meeting in Portugal and I wanted to post some thoughts about team working in general that I have learned there: 1. When objectives are clear and people keep communication focused on the subject, there is a higher chance for things to be done and we are more motivated to do them (and find more fun and pleasure in doing them). The Portugal meeting ended by having two course curricula drawn: a train of trainers for teachers and a basic training and counceling skills course for prison officers. 2. E-step project

Rox and I (Cristia) have recently participated in the first project meeting in Wales on E-step. Early flight to Luton, car drive to Cardiff - with a short visit to Caldicot Castle, cooking Romanian food for the meeting so that our dear partners have a "flavour" of Romania, packing everything and driving again to the mansion where the meeting took place and started working. Evening time was spent playing games and having fun. Some questions every evaluator should ask in order to find out if they are prepared for the evaluation process:

English, management training
Am I prepared to be objective and correct? Can I afford sufficient time for the evaluation? Or would it be done in a rush? Am I convinced that the method of evaluation I am using makes sense? Do I correctly understand the scale? Can I sustain this evaluation in a professional manner? Can I ignore my prejudices (of behaviors I don’t agree with but represent no barriers in terms of performance) of the person I’m evaluating? Am I ok with the interviewing techniques? Do I need help? Am I prepared to justify all my grades with examples?

Bine ati intrat pe noul blog AxA. Vrem ca acesta sa adauge paginii noastre animate de web informatii si noutati in timp real, din care speram ca macar parte vor fi de interes pentru voi :-).
